The AA have awarded our restaurant a Rosette in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in recognition of the quality of food that we serve. We hope that you will be similarly impressed.

The Valley Restaurant boasts sweeping bay windows that overlook rose beds and lawns to wooded slopes beyond.

The house has a genuine sense of country house charm that is readily apparent in the huge open fire that greets restaurant visitors and residents alike during the winter months and in the elegant reception rooms and large, comfy sofas in which guests can sit to enjoy their pre-dinner drinks and canapés.

Our Head Chef, Colin Hankins produces a new menu every day to take advantage of the wonderful local produce. The food is English and a selection of four starters, 5 main courses and 7 desserts are offered - in addition to this in the summer months there are special dishes available such as freshly-caught mussels, crab and lobster when they are available.

As everything in prepared in house most diets can be catered for - just let us know your requirements and we will do our best to ensure that your courses are prepared to suit your needs.
