Pete Goss MBE, Dinner 6th March 2010
We are delighted to announce that Pete Goss will be hosting a dinner here on 6th March followed by a talk about his adventures.
Pete Goss is an around the world sailor who dramatically rescued Frenchman Raphael Dinelli during the 1996/7 Vendee Globe.
In 1854 a 37 ft Mounts Bay Lugger called ‘Mystery’ with a crew of seven Cornish men made a heroic journey to Australia.
In 2008 Pete built a replica of the Mystery, he then followed in the wake of the original boat on its voyage to Australia.
This project raises money for Pete’s charity Cornwall Playing for Success which helps children achieve their best by using sport to bridge the gap between education and unrealised potential.
The evening will raise money for the project and thereby enable it to support the charity
The evening will start with a four course dinner prepared by our head Chef Colin Hankins. After dinner Pete will talk from 8:45 to 10:00 pm about his charity and the voyage to Australia.
We hope that you will be able to come along to this event and support both Pete and his charity
